Bluebell Shelter – Supported Accommodation
Bluebell Shelter provides safe and supported refuge accommodation for women and children escaping domestic and family violence.
Women staying in our accommodation receive ongoing support from specialist domestic violence practitioners who work alongside them to re - build stability, and independence. Support may include:
- Immediate risk assessment and safety planning upon shelter entry
- Ongoing domestic and family violence support
- Collaborative case planning and coordination of support
- Assistance securing safe, long - term housing
- Support for women and children with health, wellbeing, schooling, and childcare needs
- Advocacy, referrals and practical assistance
- Transport assistance to attend appointments and services

Centre-based support program
Our Atherton team provides appointments with specialist domestic and family violence practitioners in a safe and supportive environment.
We work alongside women to identify their needs, explore options, and strengthen safety and wellbeing. Support may include:
- Support to safely leave a relationship
- Safety planning regardless of relationship status
- Referrals to other services and supports
- DFV Information, education and practical assistance.

Court Support Program
Our DVO Program provides court support to women in Atherton.
We can assist women to understand the DVO process, prepare applications and feel supported through court proceedings. Support may include:
- Information about domestic violence and the court process
- Assistance applying for or varying a DVO
- Support to add children or change conditions on an order
- Referrals for legal advice and representation
- Safety planning and practical court support
You do not need to leave the relationship to access support.
Women can contact our service directly, or referrals can be made by another service, family member, friend, or support person .
